Join MSU Denver, the Department of Chicana/o Studies, and the 1 Book/1 Project/2 Transform program at the Denver Botanic Gardens for a panel discussion with this year's Richard T. and Virginia M. Castro Distinguished Visiting Professor, Nemonte Nenquimo, author of We Will Be Jaguars: A Memoir of My People and a forceful voice in climate change activism. Nenquimo will be joined by panelists Sofia Jenkins-Nieto, Ennedith López, and Heather Tanana.
The discussion will focus on indigenous feminism, decolonial resistance, and local empowerment, and will be followed by a dinner reception. This event is free and open to the public with advanced registration. All event attendees will also receive free admission to the Denver Botanic Gardens and can arrive early to enjoy the gardens before the event.
