MSU Denver is conducting an early‑stage assessment to understand potential demand for workforce housing for faculty and staff, so we can evaluate potential partnerships or other opportunities.

As part of this effort, MSU Denver is hosting in‑person Workforce Housing focus groups to hear directly from employees about housing needs, priorities, and the perceived value of potential workforce housing options.

 

This effort is connected to MSU’s long term planning and Auraria’s planned workforce housing development adjacent to campus student housing, and is intended to help us understand whether an organized workforce housing approach could provide institutional value for MSU Denver employees.

What is workforce housing?

Workforce housing is generally understood as housing designed to help essential employees live near where they work at a price point aligned with their earnings—particularly in high‑cost markets such as Denver.

At this stage, the work is focused on understanding demand rather than advancing a fully developed plan. Input gathered through these focus groups will help inform next steps in the assessment. We appreciate your input!
